This past week in Room 9, our focus for reading has been an agency activity based on a short story called Snack Attack. It is a 4 minute video about a story of a young man and an old woman, fighting over a pack of cookies. For today’s activity, we had to finish a comic putting images of the video into the right order. Once we had it in the right order, we had to put speech bubbles onto each of the images. This way, we could use our imagination and infer what we think they were thinking.
This activity was really fun, especially when we got to watch the video. I really liked how the man still gave her some cookies, even when he knew the cookies were his. I didn’t like how most of the photos looked similar or just about identical to other photos. It really added to the struggle of the activity.
Here is my comic;
Have you watched this video? Did you enjoy it? Why/Why not?
